Sam Millard

Millard was born in the United Kingdom in 1985 and immigrated to Canada in 2008. Her love of art has been ongoing since childhood.

She studied art at Long Road College in Cambridge, UK, and discovered the magic of colour and shape in cubism and futurism, which have been a big influence on the development of her complex artistic style. Weaving in inspiration from geometric shapes, patterns, flow, energy and motion, her work moves you through the joys and beauty of nature. While her work can be quite abstract, she always maintains a familiar form for the viewer to connect with. Her creations have been described as representing the fractal nature of our existence. She works out of her home studio in Kimberley, British Columbia, and has proudly received awards for her works titled Kootenay Wildlife, Around the World, St. Mary’s Lake Serenity and Caged Bird. You can find her work in galleries and private collections across BC, Alberta and the UK.
