Oleg Pochikaev is the founder, designer, and creative mind behind Palmaris Puzzles, a Canadian company known for its handcrafted wooden puzzles that combine art, storytelling, and precision craftsmanship.

With a lifelong passion for drawing, puzzles, and photography, Oleg designs every puzzle in the Palmaris collection. Several of his photographs have been transformed into puzzles, including "The Enchanted Forest," "Door to Wonderland," and "Moraine Lake" — a photograph enhanced with artistic filters to capture the beauty of the Canadian Rockies.

Oleg’s oil painting debut came with "Sentinel of the Passage," an original artwork inspired by Canada’s historic lighthouses and breathtaking natural landscapes. While it marks his first oil painting, the piece reflects years of creative exploration and design experience within the Palmaris collection.

With a professional background in finance and accounting, Oleg turned his long-time hobbies of drawing and puzzle making into a full-time passion. Today, he is not only the artist but also personally oversees the entire production process — from sanding and UV printing to laser cutting and finishing. Every Palmaris puzzle is proudly designed and handcrafted in Canada, reflecting Oleg’s commitment to quality, detail, and storytelling through art.
